Weaving is literally weaving its way across Australia! Once considered an old pastime, the new trend of weaving has arrived! There are numerous facets of weaving - Bead weaving, basket weaving, textile weaving, tapestries and more! It is not uncommon now for young people to make there own jewellery, making wrist bands and necklaces, as a hobby or craft, and to save a few extra dollars along the way.
People are meeting and having craft workshops, swapping hints and tips and spinning ideas off each other, joining looming clubs, there is no stopping the phenomenon thats hit Australia!

''Weaving''' is an ancient textile art and craft that involves placing two sets of threads or yarn made of fiber called the Warp (weaving) or warp and weft of the loom and turning them into cloth. This cloth can be plain (in one color or a simple pattern), or it can be woven in decorative or artistic designs, including tapestry or tapestries.
